Road Work / Sidewalk Access

Hello Danforth and Greenwood Families!

We have been informed of planned road work as a part of the water main replacements happening on Greenwood Ave. that will impact some sidewalk access starting tomorrow. This work may also restrict traffic flow at the front of the school for the next few weeks.

Starting October 15, 2025 work will begin on the section of sidewalk in front of the Greenwood Main Entrance (#13). That work is expected to take the remainder of this week, and impact the sidewalk from Glebeholme down to the main steps at Danforth (those steps will remain accessible this week).

Expected next week (exact date TBD) the work will move down to the area from the Danforth main steps (#1) to Strathmore Blvd, restricting access to Danforth's main entrance. 

Staff have been informed and plans are in place to utilize alternate fire exits in the event of an emergency during the construction period. 

Access to Exit #2 (off of Strathmore) will not be restricted, and students are encouraged to use that entrance during the construction period.
