Notice: Guest Speaker Karen Chaboyer

Dear families,

We are delighted to inform you that our school has engaged Karen Chaboyer to be a part of our Orange Shirt Day Assembly during period 2 on September 30.

Karen works with the TDSB's Urban Indigenous Education Centre and is an Educational Partner with the board. Karen is a survivor of residential schools and has presented at a number of TDSB schools over the past several years. You can read more about her here: https://karenmchaboyer.com/

The TDSB's Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) commits to embedding Truth and Reconciliation into the delivery of all education services, and this event is just part of our honouring that commitment.
